The Vandal DLG, although relatively simple to build and fly, is not necessarily considered a beginner’s plane. It is recommended, that you have previous building knowledge and flying experience prior to purchasing a Vandal.

Vandal Specifications

Wing area: 340 sq. in.
Weight: 8.25-9.5 oz. AUW depending on options
Wing airfoils: Modified Drela AG45 series
Wingspan: 59 in. projected span

Wing Material-Standard Vandal wings are made of

1.7 oz Kevlar. 1 oz Kevlar (when available) may be

custom ordered for an additional charge.

Fuselage Material- Standard Vandal fuselages are

made of a hybrid carbon/aramid fabric. Kevlar

fuselages with carbon reinforcements, which

may be better suited with 2.4 GHz, may be

custom ordered .

The Vandal is best suited for

Dymond D47 servos in the

wings. A 4-Channel Plane

(2-Servo Wing) may be custom

ordered to accommodate Hitec HS45 or Hyperion DS09SCD with inboard placement for an additional charge.

RDS

RDS stands for Rotary Drive System. It is an

internal linkage system that replaces conventional

outboard pushrod linkages. Although not required

on Vandal Kits, it is a very popular option. If you

choose RDS as an option, RDS hardware is installed

and ready for you to drop in your servos (servos are not included or installed).
